Dita Von Teese has become the latest celebrity to announce a collaboration with make-up supermos MAC. The burlesque star, known for her distinctive look, will launch the new MAC Von Teese £17 lipstick on 9th December 2015. She has previously worked with MAC on their Viva Glam VI campaign back in 2006/2007.
Miss Von Teese, the ex-wife of Marilyn Manson, has also previously released her own make-up line in 2012 called Dita Von Teese Classics with German-based make-up company Artdeco. She has also had her own line of lingerie and the predictable celebrity perfumes.
About the new collaboration Dita said “I’ve always loved MAC and we’ve remained close after working together almost 10 years ago for the MAC Viva Glam campaign. MAC Cosmetics celebrates individuality and supports people who dare to be different. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to create my signature red lipstick. My MAC Von Teese shade evokes glamour and confidence.”
Known for her distinctive style of trademark pale skin teamed with a crimson red lipstick, it is no surprise that her raven haired model adds some retro glamour to the brand with this collaboration with MAC. Her vivid tomato red lipstick, which will be available exclusively through the MAC website goes on SALE on the 9th December 2015 and has been timed to be launched alongside the launch of her new book Your Beauty Mark The Ultimate Guide to Eccentric Glamour. The book is co-written with Rose Apodaca and shows Dita’s glamour routine from tip to toe and goes on sale on December 1st 2015.
The blue-toned red lipstick has a matte finish, her name across the product and her image on the box. It is the prefect product for burlesque or vintage-inspired women wishing to achieve a little of the stars style.
“Dita epitomizes femininity, beauty and sexuality,” said James Gager, creative director of MAC Cosmetics. “She has been a friend of our brand for many years. She is the perfect combination of glamour and femme fatale.”
MAC are well known for their celebrity collaborations and have also recently added Mariah Carey, Elli Goulding and Ariana Grande to their list of collaborators. Mariah Carey’s champagne-frosted ‘All I Want’ lipstick will also be available in time for the festive period.
